Dr Carter was converted to Christ at an early age, but did not know what to do with the theory of evolution. He always knew what he wanted to believe, but had no way to express what he was thinking and no evidence to support his views. In his freshman year of college, he was exposed to the information for creation for the first time and soon after adopted it as his modus operandi. He says he felt a tremendous joy when he realized his science and his religion were no longer at odds. This joy (and, he says, Creation magazine and the Journal of Creation) enabled him to get through the in-depth evolutionary training of his undergraduate and graduate programs with his faith intact.
He obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. He then spent four years teaching high school biology, chemistry, physics and electronics before going to the University of Miami to obtain his PhD in Marine Biology. He successfully completed this program in 2003 with a dissertation on “Cnidarian Fluorescent Proteins.” While in Miami, he studied the genetics of pigmentation in corals and other invertebrates, designed and built an aquaculture facility for Caribbean corals, performed well over 500 SCUBA dives, many of them at night, and licensed a spin-off product of his research (a patented fluorescent protein) to a biotech company. The gospel message is founded on the book of Genesis. Without a keen understanding of these beginnings, much of the majesty and wonder of the "good News" is lost in a casual reading. Indeed, the treasures of what God did on our behalf can get lost amid the sweep of history.
Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson has provided a keen analysis of the "map" that God has structured in the lives and events recorded in the early chapters of Genesis. Like any set of clues, the details are very important. Each word and event becomes a literary brick in the path that leads inexorably to the "exceedingly great and precious promises" (2 Peter 1:4) of God's "inheritance...that does not fade away" (1 Peter 1:4).

Michael Oard
Michael Oard became interested in creationism after reading Whitcomb and Morris's The Genesis Flood in the early 1970s. Having a focus on research, his interest grew to the point that he asked himself what he could contribute. That is when the idea of an Ice Age model started. The first paper on the Ice Age was published in 1979 in the Creation Research Society Quarterly. Since then dozens of articles and about six books have been published on the Ice Age. Research on the Ice Age ignited an interest in glaciology, geology and geophysics, which he has been ardently studying for over 35 years.
Michael has a B.S. and M.S. degree in atmospheric science from the University of Washington. He was a research meteorologist for 6 years at the University of Washington. In 2001, he retired as a lead forecaster with the National Weather Service in Great Falls, Montana. Since then he has been doing full time research in creationist earth science. Over the years, he has learned to speak to lay adults and children on a variety of subjects in the earth sciences.

Michael has published eight papers or technical monographs in the secular technical literature of the American Meteorological Association and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association. Since becoming a creationist, he has published about 200 articles in the creationist technical literature and has authored, coauthored, or been editor of fourteen published creationist books for different ages on the Flood, the Ice Age, weather, geology, and National park guides. He is on the board of the Creation Research Society.
Michael has been married to Beverly for over 40 years, and they have four grown children with 10 grandchildren. All but the youngest son live close by in Bozeman, Montana.

Defense for Accelerated Decay - Andrew Snelling, Ph.D

One of the reasons so many Christians have come to accept an old Earth is they believe that science does not support a global Flood and a young Earth. Dr. Snelling is a geologist with an impressive resume having broad experience with the actual data and getting it published. In this interview we discuss several significant factors that confirm both the global Flood and a young Earth.
Dr. Snelling was a significant partner in the RATE project, which the findings were powerfully in favor of creation and the Flood. In this interview we primarily discuss findings related to helium in zircons and carbon in coal samples. On the web Dr. Snelling has been attacked fiercely, so I wanted to find out if he really had the data to support the Earth being young and the global Flood. Andrew commenced in full-time creation ministry at the end of 1983, first working with the Creation Science Foundation of Australia until late 1998, including three years with Ken Ham before Ham moved to the USA. From 1983 to 1992 Snelling was still required to be a geological consultant to the Koongarra uranium project. He was involved in research projects with several CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Organization) scientists, and in major international collaborative research effort with ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization) and university scientists across Australia, and with scientists from the USA, Britain, Japan, Sweden and the International Atomic Energy Agency, to investigate the Koongarra uranium deposit as a natural analog of a nuclear waste disposal site. As a result of these research endeavors, Andrew was involved in writing numerous scientific reports, and scientific papers that were published in international science journals.
In late 1998 Andrew joined the Institute for Creation Research near San Diego, as a Professor of Geology. His responsibilities included teaching Master’s degree geology courses in ICR’s Graduate School, leading tours to the Grand Canyon, England, Yosemite, and Death Valley; and research and writing projects. Andrew was a principal investigator in the eight-year, ICR-led RATE (Radioisotopes and the Age of The Earth) research project to which he made major contributions in rock dating studies using radioisotopes, and in studies of radiation halos (radiohalos) and tracks (fission tracks) in various minerals. He contributed two chapters to the first RATE technical volume in 2000, and three chapters to the second RATE technical volume in 2005, as well as being the primary production editor of both volumes. Andrew’s time at ICR was also spent writing a major two-volume book on Earth’s Catastrophic Past: Geology, Creation, and the Flood (Dallas, TX: Institute for Creation Research, 2009).
In June 2007 Andrew’s employment began with Answers in Genesis as their Director of Research. He initially resided in Brisbane, Australia and commuted regularly as necessary to the USA. But in mid-2011 he moved with his wife to live in northern Kentucky (near Cincinnati, Ohio). As a result of joint research, he has contributed to and jointly edited (with Dr. Steven W. Boyd) the book Grappling with the Chronology of the Genesis Flood (Green Forest, AR: Master Books, 2013).
Andrew’s talents have enabled him to be involved in extensive creationist research in Australia, the USA, Britain, New Zealand and elsewhere, majoring on the radioactive methods for dating rocks and evidence for the Flood of Noah. Technical papers by Dr. Snelling on regional metamorphism and rock dating have won the prestigious “Technical Excellence Award” as best technical paper at the 1994 Third and 1998 Fourth International Conference on Creationism respectively. As well as writing regularly and extensively in many international creationist magazines, journals and publications, Andrew was founding editor in 1984 and served as editor for almost 15 years of the Creation Ex Nihilo Technical Journal (now Journal of Creation), and served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Sixth International Conference on Creationism.
Andrew has traveled around Australia, the USA, and widely overseas (Britain, New Zealand, South Africa, Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China) speaking in schools, churches, colleges, public and university meetings, to both lay and technical audiences, on the overwhelming scientific evidence consistent with the biblical account of Creation and the Genesis Flood, based largely on his own research. Andrew’s research has demonstrated that a global flood about 4,300 years ago explains many rock layers and most fossil deposits found around the world. Building from that foundation, Dr. Snelling has made predictions as to what should be found if a catastrophic global flood actually happened (for example, the existence of extensive, fossil-bearing rock layers). Additionally, Andrew’s research has indicated that radioactive decay rates have not been consistent in the past, having been grossly accelerated, so the radioactive methods for dating rocks at millions and billions of years old are not reliable, and the rock evidence overall is consistent with a young earth. He is currently researching the radioisotope dating of meteorites.
Andrew was raised in a Christian family in Sydney, Australia, is married to wife Kym, and has three adult children and three grandchildren. Andrew’s interest in geology began very soon after his conversion to Christianity at nine years of age. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Geology at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, graduating with First Class Honors in 1975. Dinosaurs and the Bible - Scott Gillis
www.Creation.com | Most folk, particularly children (yes, even Christian kids) believe that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. This often leads them to refuting the Bible's account of the history of the Earth and the book of Genesis. But, did you know that dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible?
After Scott was converted to Christ at the age of 19, he received a B.A. in Religious Studies from Oregon State University. His education still left him with doubts regarding the inconsistencies between evolution, science, world history, and a straight-forward reading of the Bible. Years later, a friend who was a paleontologist demonstrated to him how scientific evidence actually makes more sense when interpreted within the clear context of the Bible's account of history. This, along with Creation magazine, ignited a blaze in Scott to seek answers to the nagging doubts that plagued him. Once he realized that science and the Bible were not at odds with each other, he experienced a sustained joy, a renewed commitment to the Word of God, as well as a bold desire to share this life-changing message with others. Scott now uses this conviction to impact our culture with easy-to-understand presentations that uphold the authority of God's Word and is one of CMI--US's most effective and popular speakers. Scott also desires to challenge others to equip themselves to be ready with answers (1 Peter 3:15) to impact their world. Before becoming a speaker for CMI, Scott was the senior executive for one of the largest construction firms in Northern California. This helped equip him for his current role as CMI--US's Chief Operating Officer (COO). Scott also served in ministry for over 25 years as a youth pastor, teacher, speaker, and key leader in a church plant. In a volunteer capacity, Scott was also CMI's West Coast speaker and representative.

Many atheists claim that science disproves the Bible. Despite these claims, science is actually quite consistent with Scripture.
Christians often feel unequipped to defend their faith in this area -- but this need not be so. Instead, any Christian can defend his or her faith against any scientific claim from an atheist, even without knowing the details of that particular claim. Why? Because scienceitself disproves atheism.
Atheism, when taken to its logical conclusion, denies the fundamental assumptions and requirements of science. Therefore, if science is valid, then atheism must be false.
In this presentation, engineer and former atheist Spike Psarris will present on "Defeating Atheism with Science," showing why this is true. Join us as we discuss how Christians can defend their faith in all areas of science. After a brief discussion of specific evidence like fossils, radiometric dating, and intelligent design, we'll dig deeper and see how science itself disproves atheism. Understanding a few fundamental ideas about science are all that's necessary for any Christian to be well-equipped in this area.

Spike Psarris was previously an engineer in the United States' military space program. He entered that program as an atheist and an evolutionist. He left it as a creationist and a Christian. Laurence Tisdall is the president of the Creation Science Association of Quebec. He holds a Bachelor's degree in General Agriculture from Macdonald College of McGill University and a Master of Science degree in micropropagation from the same university.
