Always Be Prepared to Give an Answer - Chris Ashcraft

In 1 Peter 3:15 we are instructed to "Always be prepared to give an answer," and yet most Christian are unable to reconcile the conflicts that exist between scientific naturalism and the Bible, and defend their faith through logic, reason, and empirical evidence. Using recent surveys to demonstrate the impact of the worldviews conflict on young people, this message hopes to inspire apologetics education to stem the loss of faith. 

This message will also address the conflict that exists between the scientific age of the Earth and the Biblical age. Was Adam not a real man, or was he created by God from some evolved ancient ape-man. Many Christians hold to one of these views to reconcile naturalism with the Bible, and presume the flood of Noah was merely a local event. Succinct answers to these questions are provided, along with an encouragement to trust in the Bible as authoritative on early Earth history.

About the Speaker:

Christopher Wayne Ashcraft, M.S., M.Ed., MTMS is a creation scientist, speaker, and educator. He obtained the Bachelor of Science in biology from Wayland Baptist University in 1989, a Master of Science in biology from Texas Tech University in 1996, and a Master of Education from the University of Washington in 2008, and is currently a fulltime graduate student at Seattle Pacific University.

Chris was a research technician for 12 years specialized in plant tissue culture and genetic transformation technology, and is now a high school science teacher at Cedar Park Christian Schools where he teaches Biology, Chemistry, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Creation Apologetics. 

He moved from research into teaching in response to serve God in creation science missions. He is firmly committed to researching and teaching creation apologetics and speaks periodically at churches, schools, and creation organizations in the Northwest United States. Battlecry for the Next Generation - Mike Riddle

Help safeguard your teens from being part of the 70% of our youth who walk away from the church after high school.

As we grow and equip the next generation of believers, we must remember, they will become the youth leaders, small group leaders, church planters, pastors, and Christian school teachers, who will, in turn, begin equipping the next generation. David Barton, founder and president of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America's forgotten history and heroes, states the importance of equipping our youth.

"It [the Bible] is the story of history that God uses the younger generation to revive and restore a nation that has fallen away (David, Daniel, Samuel, etc.). Therefore, the enemy often works to destroy youth before they can fulfill that destiny (e.g. the eradication of children by Pharaoh or Herod to destroy Moses and Jesus). It is no surprise, then, that today's cultural terrorists have targeted youth for spiritual destruction (through music, entertainment, education, technology, etc.)."

Mike's talk "Battle Cry for the Next Generation" is a wake-up call for parents. It discusses America's biblical heritage, how we have abandoned that heritage, and how we can turn the situation around. In this seminar, Mike clearly lays out the situation, the mission, and the plan of execution. The goal of the seminar is to:

1) Inform Christians about the state of American education.
2) Provide a strategy, a direction to advance, and a solution.
3) Discuss how to support the vision of training and equipping the next generation.

He holds a degree in mathematics and a graduate degree in education and has been involved in creation ministry for more than thirty years. Prior to getting involved in creation ministry, Mike was a captain in the U.S. Marines and a national champion in track and field.

We recognize that “intelligent design” and “old-earth creationism” have many good arguments that point people to God and that He created, but ultimately we interpret the Bible and its historical accounts with a straightforward reading, believing that God created in six 24-hour days about 6,000 years ago. However, the most important aspect of this debate is to emphasize that God exists, He created, the Bible says so, and science confirms it.

Part 1


Fred's topic is titled "Evidences of the Bible." Fred has been engaging Bible skeptics for many years and has compiled answers to a wide range of questions and criticisms leveled against the Bible. His presentation on Bible apologetics not only provides solid answers to the skeptics, but also lays out a powerful line of evidence showing that the Bible must be divinely inspired. Topics include accuracy of prophecy, findings in archeology, scientific knowledge before its time, textual integrity, and much more.

Fred is a member of the Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship Board of Directors, Fred Williams. He has been giving lectures on creation for over 17 years to churches, schools, conferences, and other organizations.

Creation/Evolution Debate: Which Model Fits The Observed Data Best? Bruce Malone vs Jon Cleland-Host

Jon Cleland-Host has a Ph.D. in materials science from Northwestern University and has taught chemistry, physics and biology as an adjunct Professor at Saginaw Valley State University, while being a research scientist in the semiconductor/solar panel field with several patents and peer-reviewed publications for Dow Corning. He is a lay leader for the unitarian Universalist Church and is a vocal proponent for keeping the evidence for creation out of our public school system.

Bruce Malone has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and has worked as a Research Leader for Dow Chemical for 28 years. He has developed new products for the company resulting in 18 issued patents. One would think that if the facts of science supported evolution as the correct explanation for our existence, a well-read sixth grader could make a fool of anyone trying to explain our origin by any other possibility. The Evidence Cries Out for Creation - Bill Browning

Presented at Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship (RMCF) April 13th, 2007

Part 1

Bill was educated at SMU where he earned a Master of Science degree in Engineering, followed by post-graduate work at UCLA at the Engineering Executive Program. He retired from the Hughes Aircraft Company after a 31-year career in space technology, and attended the ICR Graduate School in El Cajon, California, with 13 hours of graduate courses in geology, astronomy, paleontology, and advanced concepts in creationism. He is a member of the Creation Research Society, and he conducts workshops for Christian schools and home schoolers, at Christian camps, and at various speaking engagements around the Rocky Mountain area.

Bill also served as Co-Chairman for the Case for Creation Conference presented by the Institute for Creation Research at Calvary Temple and Colorado Community Church (held in Denver in October 2000). Bill also chaired the committee that hosted the ICR RATE Conference in September, 2007 which inaugurated the first observance of Creation Weekend at the time of the Jewish New Year. He has served as Guest Seminar Speaker for the Alpha Omega Institute in Grand Junction, Colorado, and has participated with them in Vacation Bible Schools in Colorado and Kansas.

Creation Evidence from South America - Dr. Don Patton

Dr. Patton has made numerous trips to Peru, together with Dr. Dennis Swift, to investigate the ceremonial burial stones found in the Inca tombs (c.a. 500-1500 AD). Almost one third of the stones depict specific types of dinosaurs. The evolutionary scenario tells us that man and dinosaur were separated by at least 65 million years and "modern" man's conception of dinosaurs did not begin until the 1800's. This find appears to falsify that theory and verify the fact that ancient Peruvians saw these dinosaurs. See the stones for yourself. Hear the whole story and learn of the numerous independent sources of confirmation. See the ancient tombs and view the tapestry (ca. 700AD) which clearly displays the dinosaur motif. Visit the ruins of Tiwanaku, a city that existed before Christ with astounding technology; 20,000 ton building stones, precisely cut into complex geometrical shapes, ancient temple walls decorated with human faces typical of today's races. This is a record that defies the often heard story of "primitive" man and evolutionary development.
