Honorary Professor: David Harrison

David Harrison has been made an Honorary Professor in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.

Professor Harrison joined the University of St Andrews as Professor of Pathology in May.
He leaves his role as Professor of Pathology in the University of Edinburgh which he has held since 1998.

He is Director of Laboratory Medicine for Lothian NHS, overseeing more than 600 staff working in pathology, genetics, biochemistry and haematology.

He is also Designated Individual for Tissue Governance in Lothian.

Professor Harrison’s clinical expertise is in medical liver, kidney and transplant pathology.
He continues to contribute to the diagnostic service of the Scottish National Liver Transplant Programme, including on-call commitments.

His research interests are varied but based upon understanding how cells and tissue respond to injury. He works with chemists in Edinburgh on hypoxia and mass spectrometry imaging, work that will continue through St Andrews.

He is Director of the Edinburgh Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Unit, and formerly Director of the Edinburgh Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre.

Professor Harrison has an honorary Professorship in Medicinal Chemistry in the University of Florida where he is part of an award winning distance learning team.

He is chair of Medical Research Scotland, Deputy Chair of the Food Standards Agency Committee on Toxicity, and a member of the European Food Standards Agency Expert Working Group on Aspartame.

At this time, the evolutionists claimed that Biblical Creationists were being intellectually bigoted by excluding evolutionary teachings. But now we actually have this premise in reverse. Evolutionists truly are being intellectually bigoted by excluding the scientific facts of Biblical Creationism. Therefore, the stage is once again set to for the battle of our origins and our minds. Some are even calling it the modern day Scopes Monkey trial. It's the battle over Intelligent Design. Therefore, this series, An Intelligent Creation takes a look at the hardcore scientific data that logically reveals how all of life was intelligently designed implyng an Intelligent Designer, namely God. These logical evidences include the evidence of the Universe, the Solar System, the Earth, the Human Body, the Animal Kingdom, the Plant Kingdom, and the Bacteria Kingdom and much more. An Intelligent Creation clearly reveals that an Intelligent God created us for an intelligent purpose; to live a life beyond our wildest dreams in Him!

About the Speaker:

Frank has a B.A. in Biology from Western State College in Colorado and an M.A. in Zoology from the University of Northern Colorado. Frank's specialty is parasitology. He discovered a new species of parasite, a nematode of the family Acuariidae. He published his research in the peer-reviewed Journal of Parasitology with the late Dr. G.D. Schmidt. Before coming to work for ICR, Frank taught Human Physiology & Anatomy, Medical Microbiology, Parasitology, General Biology I & II and Cell Biology for 9 years at Pensacola Christian College. He is a member of the American Society of Parasitologists and the Helminthological Society of Washington."
