Something To Think About

Some things are self-evidently true. They are axiomatic. You cannot have a painting without a painter, and you cannot have a creation without a Creator. Atheistic Evolutionists have to deny logic itself in order to argue against such obvious truth. Furthermore, they are approaching the truth from the wrong perspective, thus limiting their accuracy.

What To Watch For

Either there is a God or there isn't -- and both possibilities are frightening. In this last lesson, notice how your worldview affects your perception of truth. Those who embrace the atheistic, Evolutionary worldview approach truth totally backwards, while only a Christian, basing his perception of truth on God's Word, can approach truth from the proper perspective. With this in mind, pay special attention to the natural reaction to the vastness of the universe -- God is glorified as was originally intended! In the beginning of this series, we addressed the four basic questions of life. In this lesson, watch as each question brings purpose and meaning to life when answered through the Biblical worldview, glorifying God's plan and greatness. Absolute truth can only be known through the proper understanding of God's Word, and in the end, notice how this always brings God glory. Truth magnifies God through the correct interpretation of His creation. Having clarified our worldviews, we then notice that this leaves us feeling small and inferior to God's vast perfection. No one with the creation worldview, which magnifies God, can think highly of himself. The ultimate conclusion is that we have offended an amazing God with our sin; it is His authority which is supreme. Watch as this conclusion then leads us to the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Discussion Questions

1. Can science give us absolute truth? Why or why not?

Science is inductive and therefore cannot give us absolute truth. It can only make educated guesses based on circumstantial evidence and clues, but it can never give absolute certainty. The Bible, however, provides the complete story, giving us the key to sorting out the clues.

2. How should the vastness of the creation affect us?

It should show us how small we are, and how big and amazing God is, thus leading us to glorify and serve Him.

3. If God made this world, He is the Ruler and Judge of all the earth. What is the only way we can be reconciled to Him, after having been found guilty of breaking His law?

Repentance and trust in Christ are required for salvation. We have sinned against God and only after we turn from our sin and put our full faith in Christ for our salvation will we be born again.

Application

If Evolutionism is true, then nothing matters, and there is no purpose to life. Evolutionism is not true -- God created this vast universe, and it is His will that counts! We should be mindful of the awesome creation in order to keep a proper perspective on who God is and how we can obtain absolute truth through His Word. Using the creation worldview, we should take this truth to the lost and share with them how they can be saved from their sin and reconciled to God. Creationism is important for Christians to study, but it is pointless if it does not lead to its intended goal -- bringing glory and honor to the Creator. God has given us absolute truth in His Word, and we should share this truth with everyone. Always use the evidence of creation for evangelism. God made all things for His glory, and once we have come to the truth of creation, we should proclaim it to the world, winning souls for the Savior and connecting the lost with their Creator.

Challenge

Use the evidences of creation taught in this course to win the lost in your life. Share the valuable information presented in this course with your acquaintances, helping to shape their worldview to the creation perspective. Let this knowledge of the Creator lead them to the realization of their sinful state before God and of their need to repent and trust in Christ.

Something To Think About

Perspective determines everything. Facts are absolute, but interpretation changes with the individual. Evolutionists are always trying to blur the line between the facts and their interpretations of the facts. They assert that their theories are fact rather than faith. In reality, the facts support the Biblical account of Creationism. Both Evolutionism and Creationism are faiths. They are perspectives. While the claims of Creationists are repeatedly being vindicated by science, Evolutionists base their entire faith upon lies, error, and deception.

What To Watch For

Evolutionists claim that their theory is a concluded issue. The debate is over. Evolution is a fact. But this simply isn't the case. Watch as Eric Hovind reviews the key "evidences" of Evolutionism and demonstrates the total lack of fact involved. These claims are not fact. These claims are made on faith. So, why then are they in public school textbooks? Throughout this episode, you will see the difference between scientific fact and faith masquerading as scientific fact. Learn to differentiate between the two. Watch out for the assumptions that underlie the entire religion of Evolutionism. Keep these in mind next time you hear a scientist make an absolute statement about evolution as if it were fact. Learn how to really think critically by sorting through the jargon and being aware of the assumptions and faith-based agenda of Evolutionism. Textbooks teach so much more than fact, so educate yourself on what claims are actually faith-based in order to distinguish fact from faith in the latest science curricula.

Discussion Questions

1. Where does the geologic column exist, and is it fact or faith?
It only exists in the textbook. It is never found in the geologic record, because it is faith-based. It is not fact.

2. Evolution is based upon what two faulty assumptions?

Mutations change things for the better, and natural selection allows this change to become common among an entire population.

3. How does natural selection work, and can it cause evolution?

Natural selection only selects what is already available. It does not create anything, and therefore, cannot cause anything to evolve. It only chooses features that already exist.

4. How does Satan use Evolutionism to rob humanity of its belief in God's Word, and what effect does this have on society?

Evolutionism claims that we are merely an accident, and therefore there is no absolute right or wrong. If science has disproven the existence of a God, then we can do what we want. There is no foundation for morality if the Bible isn't true.

Application

As Christians, we are to strive for truth. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the truth and that the truth sets us free. Our children are being taught lies in school. In public school textbooks, religious lies are being taught as fact. Creationism is scorned for being religious. The fact of the matter is both Creationism and Evolutionism are religious. They are perspectives -- interpretations of fact. They are religious worldviews. As demonstrated in this episode, the "evidence" for Evolutionism is not fact, but rather assumption -- faith-based claims about the facts. Therefore, we should be very careful not to allow Evolutionists to pass off their faith as fact in our public schools. In everyday interactions, we must seek to clarify this truth in our conversations. Do not leave unchallenged any absolute statements that pretend evolution is proven. We should point out that Evolutionism is supported not by fact, but by faith. This then levels the playing field for those around us to listen as we share God's Word with them. They can then decide which faith is supported by science and which faith is not. They can then view God's Word as a viable option. This opens up their minds and plants a seed in their hearts. This is why it is important for us as Christians to arm ourselves on this topic and share it with the lost world who is deceived by the Evolutionism faith.

Challenge

Call up your county or state's education board members. There are probably several of them. Tell each of them that you expect them to keep religion out of the textbooks and give them a few faith-based claims to start with.

Session 4 - Dinosaurs With Man by Creation Today

Something To Think About

Evidence for dinosaurs in modern history is abundant. Historical records substantiate the theory that dinosaurs lived with man. There is even reference to them in the Bible! The truth is, God created all living animals, and He told Noah to take them on the ark. Therefore, we should find much evidence that they lived with man - and we do!

What To Watch For

In this lesson, we explore the topic of dinosaurs! Pay close attention as Eric Hovind explains the common objections to the idea that dinosaurs lived with man. As children, we are indoctrinated at a young and impressionable age with the idea that dinosaurs lived millions and millions of years ago. This is a very effective tool to teach evolution to children. Satan has capitalized on this opportunity, exploiting the ignorance most people have on the subject of dinosaurs. We need not be ignorant of Satan's devices (II Cor. 2:11). The Bible accurately tells us what exactly happened in earth's past. Watch as Eric covers historical, scientific, and Biblical reasons to believe that dinosaurs existed with man and that God judged the entire world with a global flood that changed the whole planet. This episode gives a Biblical explanation of the dinosaurs, how the Flood factors in to the story, and what became of them since.

Discussion Questions

1. Is Noah's Flood supported by historical fact? What does this lead us to believe?

Yes, about 200 flood legends exist among the world's cultures, leading us to believe the Bible is absolutely accurate in its description of a global flood of God's judgment.

2. Could some dinosaurs still exist today?

Absolutely! Of course, the land dinosaurs would be much smaller, due to the change in atmospheric conditions. Any that still exist would only live in extremely remote regions such as deep waters and swamps. There are thousands of accounts of dinosaur sightings in modern history. After all, dinosaurs were on the ark too!

3. Does the Bible mention dinosaurs in general, or even specifically?

The Bible makes many references to dragons (dinosaurs), and even specifically mentions fiery, flying serpents (Isa. 14:29; 30:6), Leviathan, a fire breathing dragon (Job 41), and Behemoth, a sauropod-like creature (Job 40).

Application

God's Word is pure and complete. In It are found all of the things we need to live this life for His glory. We can place our trust in His Words. Rather than choose to not believe the Bible until someone proves It right, we should come to God with open hearts, accepting His Word until It is proven wrong. Over and over again, the Bible is validated by modern discoveries and science. The evidence overwhelmingly supports the account of dinosaurs in modern history and the occurrence of a global flood. Dinosaurs present a unique opportunity for us to interest people in the discussion of Creationism and to show them that Evolutionism has been lying to them about these amazing creatures. It also allows us to share with them the story of Noah's Flood -- God's judgment for sin. We can warn others of the coming judgment by telling them about the dinosaurs in the Bible, and how they survived the previous judgment. Fossils don't usually form under normal conditions. The fossils of dinosaurs we find all over the world could only have formed under massive levels of pressure that would be caused by Noah's Flood. We must take this news to the world that fossils are evidence of a flood, and the accounts of dinosaurs in modern history validate the Bible and show the deception of Evolutionism.

Challenge

Ask a young person when dinosaurs lived. Their answer will most likely be, "Millions of years ago." Tell them about the evidences of dinosaurs in modern history. Tell them how this shows the Bible is true when it speaks of dinosaurs living with man. Encourage them to read the Bible daily for more of the amazing truths found within.

Do we really know that the earth is ancient? Have we heard the evidence from the other side? The truth is that the evidence points strongly to a young earth. In fact, even dinosaurs fit into this worldview. God has given us limiting factors observable by science that point to a young earth, and confirm the account given in Scripture of a young creation and of a global flood about 4,400 years ago.

What To Watch For

Serious problems exist with the Big Bang and old-earth theories. Limiting factors put a reliable date on earth's creation at about 6,000 years ago. Watch for these limiting factors and how each one points to a young earth. Old-earth Evolutionism doesn't stand up to this evidence. Pay special attention to the ways this theory directly contradicts the Biblical account. Evolutionism is not compatible with Biblical Christianity. Notice how many of the things that we would assume (based upon the barrage of evolutionary propaganda) are very old are, in fact, quite young. This lesson will present evidences that point conclusively to a young earth, thus taking from Evolutionism the thing it needs so desperately -- millions and millions of years.

Discussion Questions

1. How do limiting factors demonstrate a young earth?

These natural phenomena date back fairly recently, indicating that earth's age cannot be much older than 6,000 years. Otherwise, these phenomena would be much older, too. Other indicators, such as current population sizes, etc., as well as the complete absence of older phenomena, clearly confirm the Bible, which gives us a 4,000-year history prior to Christ.

2. Why does the establishment propagate lies such as the necessity of long ages for the formation of stalactites and stalagmites?

Much time is needed to afford the theory of evolution. Evolutionism requires much more time than is evidenced. Examples such as "million-year-old" stalactites are necessary to overcome the embarrassing limiting factors that disprove their faulty worldview.

3. According to the dates given in the Bible, the earth is about 6,000 years old. Evolutionists claim that it is billions of years old. How does this conflict affect the lost and the faith of believers?

It casts doubt and unbelief in the minds of the lost and unbelievers. If they cannot trust Genesis, a book to which almost every other book in the Bible refers, and a book to which Jesus himself referred, stating, "In the beginning..." then how can they trust other parts of the Word of God?

Application

As this worldview of Evolutionism continues to permeate our educational system and society, crime, sin, disease, and evil continue to skyrocket. But this worldview of millions of years is entirely based upon lies. Many of those who call themselves scientists are ignoring the scientific data that does not fit within their worldview. Regardless of how many of these Evolutionary scientists are atheists and how many are not, the end result of this worldview is indeed Atheism and rejection of God's Holy Word. We should hold God's Word in the highest regard. Rather than allow our children to be poisoned by a science falsely so-called that leads to a breakdown of social morals, we should teach them to trust the Word of God. Science has confirmed this sacred account over and over again. A young earth is true not because we have found the evidence, but because the Bible says so. However, God is not a man that He should lie, and we can be assured that true science will always confirm what God has already revealed in His Word. The testimony of Scripture tells us the earth is young -- and science agrees.

Challenge

Commit several of these limiting factors to memory. Next time you are around an acquaintance who believes the world is old, give them a limiting factor to think about. Treat it like a random piece of trivia that you are sharing with them. Then get them to ponder why this limiting factor is so, if the earth truly is old. Beginnings Session 1 - They're Both Religions - Eric Hovind



It's time to start your journey through Beginnings, the curriculum that will educate, entertain, and prepare you for the most pressing topic of our day—creation versus evolution!

Session 1 - They're Both Religions by Creation Today

Something to Think About

Is evolution science or religion? Nothing about evolution belongs in the category of science. It's a religion just like Creationism. However, Evolutionism is a dangerous religion. You see, ideas lead to worldviews. Worldviews result in actions. Consider the different actions an atheist might take in various situations in life as opposed to the actions a Christian might take in the same situations. Their religions determine their actions.

What to Watch For

As we begin the series, watch for the evidences of a young earth and universe and for the answers to the questions in life that logically follow from the Evolutionary standpoint as opposed to the Creationist standpoint. In this world, two major worldviews exist: Evolutionism and Creationism. Both views are religious, and both seek to answer life's questions. Scientific evidence supports a young, created universe -- the opposite of the Evolutionary model. Evolutionism calls for an old, accidental universe. These contrasting worldviews have entirely opposite consequences. Notice throughout this lesson how the consequences of Evolutionism clash with the ramifications of the worldview of Creationism. Satan has tried to deceive man from the beginning, attempting to tell man that he can become as a god. This lie has not changed. Observe how Satan's lie has worked its way into science in the form of Evolutionism and notice the lack of evidence for this worldview. True science, in fact, contradicts Evolutionism, as we are about to see. God's truth is manifest in every facet of His creation.

Discussion Questions

1. What are the four basic questions of man? Are they still relevant in our society today? If so, why?

Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going when I die? The way we answer these questions is related to our worldviews, which have ramifications in any culture or society.

2. Do you believe that your view of the age of the earth affects your everyday life? If so, how?

If someone holds the Evolutionistic worldview, he must live his life according to his own will. If someone holds the worldview of Creationism, God is the final authority, and he must conform to God's will.

3. Do you believe evolution is scientific or religious? Why?

Evolutionism contradicts fundamental science and is supported only by faith -- not by evidence.

Application

We should strive to affect the worldviews of those around us. According to Matthew 5:13, we are to be the salt of the earth. Many are ignorant of the lack of scientific evidence for the Big Bang, and even fewer realize how their worldview affects their answers to life's questions. We should spread the truth of God's creation. The debate between Evolutionism and Creationism is important because it governs every major decision and action we execute in life. Where is the basis for a moral authority if we are mere accidents of chance whose sole purpose is to please ourselves? How is society to function without a lawgiver? If we really came from a cosmic burp 20 billion years ago, we have no purpose and no authority besides ourselves. If we are truly made in the image of God, He is our authority, and He has laid out some rules for us to follow. Are we ready to face His judgment?

Challenge

Ask an elementary school-age child if he knows where everything in the world came from. If his answer involves the Big Bang, ask him where the original matter came from. If he doesn't know where this original matter came from, consider sharing the Biblical account with him to explain how everything came into being.

Dr Bergman is a graduate of Medical College of Ohio, Wayne State University in Detroit, The University of Toledo, and Bowling Green State University. He has over 800 publications in 12 languages and 20 books and monographs. He has also taught at the Medical College of Ohio where he was a research associate in the department of experimental pathology, and he also taught 6 years at the University of Toledo, and 7 years at Bowing Green State University.

Dr Bergman has presented over one hundred scientific papers at professional and community meetings in the United States, Canada, and Europe. To discuss his research, he has been a featured speaker on many college campuses throughout the United States and Europe, and is a frequent guest on radio and television programs. Biography
Andrew A. Snelling is a geologist, research scientist and technical

editor. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Geology at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, graduating with First Class Honors in 1975. His Doctorate in Geology was awarded by The University of Sydney, Australia in 1982 for his research thesis entitled "A geochemical study of the Koongarra uranium deposit, Northern Territory, Australia". Between studies and since Andrew worked for six years in the exploration and mining industries in Tasmania, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory variously as a field, mine and research geologist.

Andrew commenced in full-time creation ministry at the end of 1983, first working with the Creation Science Foundation of Australia until late 1998, including three years with Ken Ham before Ham moved to the U.S.A. From 1983 to 1992 Snelling was still required to be a geological consultant to the Koongarra uranium project. He was involved in research projects with several CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Organization) scientists, and in major international collaborative research effort with ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization) and university scientists across Australia, and with scientists from the USA, Britain, Japan, Sweden and the International Atomic Energy Agency, to investigate the Koongarra uranium deposit as a natural analog of a nuclear waste disposal site. As a result of these research endeavors, Andrew was involved in writing numerous scientific reports, and scientific papers that were published in international science journals.

In late 1998 Andrew joined the Institute for Creation Research near San Diego, as a Professor of Geology. His responsibilities included teaching Masters degree geology courses in ICR's Graduate School, leading tours to the Grand Canyon, England and Yosemite -- Death Valley, and research and writing projects. Andrew was a principal investigator in the 8-year, ICR-led RATE (Radioisotopes and the Age of The Earth) research project to which he made major contributions in rock dating studies using radioisotopes, and in studies of radiation halos (radiohalos) and tracks (fission tracks) in various minerals. He contributed two chapters to the first RATE technical volume in 2000, and three chapters to the second RATE technical volume in 2005, as well as being the primary production editor of both volumes. Andrew's time at ICR was also spent writing a major new three volume book on geology, Creation and the Genesis Flood, which was expected to be published in early 2008.

In June 2007 Andrew's employment began with Answers in Genesis as their Director of Research. He continues though to reside in Brisbane, Australia and commute regularly as necessary to the USA.

Andrew's talents have enabled him to be involved in extensive creationist research in Australia, the USA, Britain, New Zealand and elsewhere, majoring on the radioactive methods for dating rocks and evidence for the Flood. Such research has included the formation of igneous and metamorphic rocks (for example, granites and schists, respectively), all types of mineral deposits, sedimentary strata and landscape features (for example, Grand Canyon, USA, and Ayers Rock or Uluru, central Australia) within the biblical framework of earth history. Technical papers by Dr Snelling on regional metamorphism and rock dating have won the prestigious "Technical Excellence Award" as best technical paper at the 1994 Third and 1998 Fourth International Conference on Creationism respectively. As well as writing regularly and extensively in many international creationist magazines, journals and publications, Andrew was founding editor in 1984, and served as editor for almost 15 years, of the Creation Ex Nihilo Technical Journal (now Journal of Creation), and is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief for the Sixth International Conference on Creationism.

Courses taught include physics, astronomy and mathematics. He speaks on creation topics and believes that the details of nature are a powerful testimony to the Creator's care for mankind.

Finally! Empirical PROOF that EVOLUTION is IMPOSSIBLE. Based on hard evidence from the earth's strata, the author (DoctorDoctrineproves beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no time allowed for evolution to take place on earth. As I was saying, this is a 28 minute windows media player (wmv file) that has been made out of a 150 slide PowerPoint presentation (when I started my PhD in Education) and has lots of home made animations and wonderful photography (mostly mine) of the Grand Canyon, AZ. It proves Evolution is Impossible!

There are around 10 empirical proofs presented from the earth's strata that guarantee that Evolution is Impossible.

Please adjust volume when you start it. Pause it if you need some more time to digest information on any slide! You can even replay parts of it. It does contain an evolutionary explanation video embedded in the presentation about half way through. There is also a section that is entitled 'DREAM' where you will see the evolutionary perspective. Again, PLEASE watch it all the way through and pay special attention to sounds like the earthquake sound when the "Grand Dam" breaks and ... well you'll see. After you watch it, please PLEASE let me know you impression, good or bad. Just don't mock ME, you can mock the movie I guess but remember this started out as a very BORING research paper (which is still in the notes section of the original PowerPoint) and was carefully put into an interesting presentation one slide at a time with photographs and special slide timing to match the symphony. By the way, remember that this is the Grand Canyon Suite and is supposed to be a "musical painting" of the actual Grand Canyon, so keep that in mind as you listen (hey, just listening to the music should be entertainment enough for you so don't knock it, ok?). Evolution Impossible!

We’re sure you’ve heard this claim before, probably hundreds of times: “Science has proven evolution is fact.” It’s like a strange Darwinian chant that emanates from atheist blogs and secular universities. Too bad (for them) it’s not true.

In fact, refuting evolution doesn’t require complicated equations or lab experiments—though those do the job, too. Just remember the two fundamental flaws we can use to show evolution to be, well, not even scientifically viable.

Where’d You Get Your Information, Bub?
Everything that makes up your body requires genetic information. You’ve got hands and feet because your genes code for it. The same is true for any creature—dogs, camels, you name it.

The genetic information in humans varies from the information in animals, plants, and so on. Seems obvious, so why point it out? Because for animal kind A to somehow “presto-change-o” into animal kind B, the information’s got to change. A fish doesn’t just morph into an amphibian without something changing in the genes. It would have to gain some new information.

Here’s the clincher: when we use operational science—the kind involving observable, repeatable, testable results—we have never observed, repeated, or been able to test animal kind A turning into animal kind B—at all. Sure, there’s some genetic “do-si-do” going on through mutations and gene drift, but there’s no way fish are going to sprout hair and opposable thumbs. Just in case you think by “no way” we mean there’s still a chance, there’s not—none, zilch, nada, not going to happen. What if we add billions of years and cool artistic renderings? Still no.

That first point is devastating enough. But here’s how evolution gets buried even more.

You’ve probably heard news accounts about how life could have started on earth “gazillions” of years ago in volcanoes, slush pools, crystals, rocks, you name it. Maybe you’ve heard something about “artificial” life or test-tube life or rotten-food-in-the-refrigerator life (okay, maybe not the last one).

Those are interesting speculations, but they overlook one important rule in biology: life doesn’t, cannot, and will never come from non-life. Life comes from life. Always. That’s the law—the Law of Biogenesis, to be exact.

All these failed experiments, like the Miller-Urey experiment, really show is just how much intelligence is required for life to begin in the first place. (That is, way smarter than us.)

And Yet We’re Here
So, if evolution can’t explain how humans came to be (or any other living thing, for that matter), what can? The Bible. Yep, God’s Word.

The Bible provides an eyewitness account of how the universe and all life came to be. There’s no speculation or strange interpretation needed. You can just read how God created everything in six days a few thousand years ago. Simple. Factual.



Pick it up, dust it off if you need, and read it. There’s even some good news in there for you.

Creation, Evolution, and the Genesis of the Christian Home School Movement in America - Kevin Swanson

Part 1




Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship (RMCF) was delighted to have as their speaker, Kevin Swanson of the Christian Home Educators of Colorado (CHEC), where RMCF operates a booth during their annual conference in June each year.

Mr. Swanson's Topic will be "Creation, Evolution, and the Genesis of the Christian Home School Movement in America."

Kevin Swanson was himself home schooled at the beginning of the movement in the 1960's, graduating from his home school in 1981. His father joined the Institute for Creation Research in the early 1960's, and chose home schooling as a means of inculcating a biblical worldview in his children. Now, Kevin continues his father's legacy as a leader in the present-day home education movement in America.

Mr. Swanson has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked in engineering and corporate management for ten years prior to joining Christian Home Educators of Colorado as the Executive Director in the late 1990's, where he served in that capacity until August 2009.
