Evolution: No Chance in a Billion Years
See why billions of years wouldn’t help evolution in this clip from Ken Ham’s Foundations DVD series.
Evolution sounds incredibly mysterious that way, dressed up in decades and centuries and eons. But all those years really just obscure the deeper issue.
While evolutionists toss years around like a football, they ignore a fundamental flaw in Darwin’s idea. What’s that? Even trillions of years wouldn’t be enough time to produce the simplest cell.
People gamble in hopes to beat the odds and win big. But the slot machine of evolution has no chance to get the jackpot of life arising from non-life.
Not with All the Time in the World
Secular science textbooks make the origin of life sound simple enough. Throw in some chemicals, zap them with electricity, and you’ve got organic stew. At some point long, long ago, one such chemical concoction hit on the magical formula to succeed. After that, natural selection and genetics took over and marched toward humanity. Given enough time, these books assure us, it was bound to happen. But that formula for life is like multiplying by zero. No matter how big the other numbers, you’ll still end up with zilch. In other words, throwing in as much time as you like would still get you nowhere. It’s sort of like this:
Darwin’s idea × billions of years × 0 (chance of actually happening) = 0.When mathematicians crunch the numbers, they come to some pretty staggering conclusions. The chance of evolution actually happening is about as likely as a blindfolded person throwing a pebble into outer space and knocking down a satellite that then crashes onto a target on the back of a truck speeding down the highway. Even with billions of years, that’s not going to happen. (For those of you who like math, you can see some numbers here.)
To be sure, Darwinists have tried to massage those impossible odds to work in their favor, but no amount of number obfuscation can get around the facts. Time is not their friend.
100 Percent Certain
So, if evolution is impossible no matter the eons, what else is there? The answer to that is simple. Based on real observations from scientific studies, we have no reason to believe life started by itself. According to the laws of biology, life always comes from life. Beyond that, information science shows us that information (such as the DNA necessary for life to begin) requires an intelligent source. Finally, without starting from an evolutionary bias, the study of genetics helps us understand that the variety of animal kinds on the earth could never lead back to a single ancestor.Add all that up and you’re left with an inescapable conclusion: there must be a powerful and super-wise Creator. With such a Creator, you no longer need billions of years. He could create everything in much less time—say . . . six days.
According to the Bible, this Creator—God—did exactly that. He gave us a clear record (the Bible) of how He created the world, how long it took Him, how humans fell into sin, and how God the Son (Jesus) came to earth to save us. And of that you can be 100 percent certain. After all, God doesn’t leave anything to chance—not in a billion years (if there had really been that much time, that is).

Making the Case for Creation with Ron Rhodes
Ron Rhodes makes the Case for Creation via the fossil record, lack of intermediate forms & the retarded theory of punctuated equilibrium to compensate for that lack of evidence, along with DNA, mutations, natural selection, and intelligent design.

Did God use evolution to create? - Creation Magazine Live
Many Christians believe that God may have used evolutionary processes to create. This episode summarizes some of the serious problems that arise in trying to fit evolution with Genesis that even atheists can see. Although evolution does fit with many religions (atheism, for example) it cannot be made to fit with Christianity.
Hosts Richard Fangrad and Calvin Smith of CMI-Canada discuss and summarize the faith-building information found in Creation magazine. Creation magazine has been changing lives and building the faith of Christians in more than 140 countries for more than 30 years. Each issue contains dozens of articles (many by scientists) that refute evolution and support the Bible's account of creation.

How Did Multi-cellular Life Originate? 15 Questions for Evolutionists - # 7
How did multi-cellular life originate? How did cells adapted to individual survival 'learn' to cooperate and specialize (including undergoing programmed cell death) to create complex plants and animals? See: Evolution of multicellularity: what is required?
Question 7 in CMI's '15 Questions for Evolutionists' flyer reveals yet another problem area for the story of evolution: How did cells adapted to individual survival 'learn' to cooperate and specialize (including undergoing programmed cell death) to create complex plants and animals? Richard Fangrad and Calvin Smith summarize some of the data. See the links below for details.

Scientific Case for the Origin of Life - Mike Riddle
Mike puts the evolution theory to shame, clearly showing the "impossibility of the odds." Visit Mike's Equipping and Training Christians Ministry - train2equip.com
- There are over 2,000 types of amino acids and only 20 are used in life. Every experiment we have ever done has always ended up with an equal number of left handed and right handed amino acids. A mixture of left handed and right handed amino acids is a poison to life. Each body is full of only left handed amino acids. The tendency is always to bond the two and continue away from life; not toward life. Evolution has ruled out the truth of a Creator God, so evolutionists will accept anything in the place of the truth of God. In essence, evolutionists are saying that 3 plus 1 equals 7 because the real answer, in this case 4, is "too religious for them."
- One cell in our body is more complex than any computer we have ever built. Is it logical to conclude that a cell could evolve from natural processes? "Give it enough time and it will happen" is not a scientific statement. It is a faith-based statement. It is saying that they don't know what happened, but if we give it enough time, then something will happen. Scientists affirm that the law of probability states if the chances of something happening is over 10 to the 50th power, then it will "never" happen. The chances are 10 to the 191st power that a single protein can occur by random chance. The chances of a single cell forming by random chance is 10 to the 40,000th power! To say that life could evolve from nothing defies science and logic.
- A person can believe in evolution, but not because of the science. A person believes in evolution because of their belief system.
- Anything that violates the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics could never happen. It states, "Energy goes from a usable to less usable state over time in an isolated system." An open system is any system where you can add and remove energy. The Earth is an open system and so is nearly everything else we know. An isolated system is one where no matter or energy can get in or out. The universe is an isolated system.
- An open system (earth)
- Available energy source (sun)
- A way to capture and store raw energy
- Energy conversion mechanism
- We are all decaying. We began this decay at conception.
- Where did the immense amount of DNA come from? The only tenable answer is in Genesis 1.
Things Detrimental to the Origin of Life
1) Oxygen in the atmosphere
2) Second Law of Thermodynamics (time)
3) Water (hydrolysis)
If I tell you only part of the evidence and you believe it, you have not been taught, you have been indoctrinated. If I tell you all the evidence and you make a decision, then you have been taught.
Congress has said that we can teach both sides (e.g. evolutionism and creation). However, other agencies have tried to take away this right and scare creationists into being silent.
No scientist on this planet can tell you how life originated. Why should we accept evolution when you cannot produce the evidence? When evolutionists tell us about their faith, creationists should tell them about our faith. Evolution has no foundation for the origin of information.
